7/04/12: Did a short run today, hoping for a longer run, about double what I did. I knew I wanted to do a workout. I ran the first quarter mile not knowing I was doing a workout but from then on I ran what I would do for a 2 mile race. It felt really good but I do not know how much longer I could have kept the pace, maybe the rest of the .4 miles but after that I would have been screwed. I don't think I can keep a sub-6 pace for 3.1 miles at this point in time. My first season race @ Portsmouth I want to get below 19 mins. It will be a challenge but I will try. I have three more weeks before the first race and I will not give up.
